Aluminum Railings
Custom railing designs
Precision-crafted railings, expertly installed and tailored to meet your space's highest standards of design, durability and safety. Balconies, staircases, decks and terraces, in the same eight aluminum styles as our gates and fencing, so the whole property reads as one. Choose a style below to explore it.

Hi-Tech for Railings
Modern lines, real privacy
The Hi-Tech Framed series is built for a modern exterior. Narrow horizontal profiles sit inside a clean traditional frame, giving you greater security and privacy without completely obscuring your home. You keep visibility from the inside looking out, while the view in is screened.
The Hi-Tech Frameless series drops the visible frame. Narrow horizontal profiles are braced from behind so the panel appears to float, for the most minimal, architectural read of the three. It holds the same inside-out visibility while raising privacy from the outside.
The Hi-Tech 45° series angles its horizontal elements downward at 45 degrees. That angle lets air move through while bringing greater privacy, so you keep visibility from the inside out and the view in stays screened. The most private profile in the Hi-Tech family.

Profile 24 for Railings
Our most versatile series
'Profile 24' refers to the 24mm depth of each slat. Simple horizontal or vertical profiles in varying widths and gap sizes make it our most versatile series, suitable for almost any home or business, and engineered to accommodate hilly terrain.
Mixed 24 runs vertical and horizontal slats together in the same panel, so one gate carries both directions. It breaks up a long run and gives the entry a focal point without changing the material or the finish anywhere else on the property.
Mixed with Glass sets laminated glass panels among the 24mm slats. The glass brings light and reflection into the entry while the slats hold the structure and keep the screening where you want it.

This series already runs both directions in the same panel, so there is no single bar orientation to set.

Glass Series for Railings
Reflective glass, uncompromised security
Black laminated glass set in a fully welded aluminium frame. From outside it reads as a solid, reflective plane and gives you complete privacy; from inside you keep the daylight and the view. Every panel is laminated for safety and security, and the frame is powder-coated inside and out.
White laminated glass in the same welded aluminium frame. It diffuses light rather than reflecting it, so the gate reads bright and soft against a light-coloured house instead of as a dark plane. Maximum glass panel size is 3'×4', and larger openings are made up as a grid of panels within the frame.

Solid Series for Railings
Maximum privacy, elegant and strong
The core Solid build: a closed aluminium panel with no gaps at all, in four profile widths — 120, 160, 180 and 220mm. The wider the profile, the fewer lines across the panel and the heavier it reads from the street. It is the only Solid sub-series offered running vertically as well as horizontally, so the same panel can be turned to suit the elevation.
The Solid panel broken into a traditional design: two rows, three rows or four-plus rows of panelling, or a shaped face in X, hexagon or square. It carries the privacy of a solid gate with the detail of a panelled front door, which is what suits an older or more formal frontage.
A solid horizontal panel with glass sections set into it, so the gate keeps its privacy at eye level while letting light through elsewhere. It is the one Solid sub-series that is not offered as an overhead door.

Solid Classic is made horizontally. For a vertical run, choose Solid 24.
Solid Mixed Glass is made horizontally only.
Wood-Like for Railings
The warmth of wood, none of the upkeep
A mid-tone oak grain, warmer and lighter than walnut. It is the pattern that sits most easily against the widest range of houses, which is why it is the one most often specified.
A dark walnut grain on aluminium. It reads as the richest and most traditional of the three patterns and holds its own against stone, brick and dark stucco. None of wood's rot, splitting, cracking or degradation.
A light golden cedar grain, the closest of the three to freshly cut timber. It keeps that colour permanently, which real cedar does not — cedar greys within a season or two outdoors.

Laser-Cut for Railings
Turn your entrance into a canvas
An aluminium panel cut to a pattern, in the same welded frame as the rest of the catalogue. There are 39 designs in the book, from classical scrollwork to abstract geometry and botanical screens, and we can cut your own artwork as a one-off. Some designs are adjusted to suit the size of the gate and to keep the panel strong.

Classic 48 for Railings
Timeless spear-top elegance
The Classic 48 spear-top profile turned on its side, so the pickets run across the panel rather than up it. It reads lower and longer along a run, which suits a wide frontage or a fence that should sit under the house rather than in front of it. In 24 × 40 mm or 24 × 60 mm picket, with 3in or 4in gaps.
Pickets upright, the way a classic iron fence is built, with the spear top finishing each one. This is the traditional read and the one most people picture when they ask for a picket fence — in maintenance-free aluminium, so it will not rust or rot. In 24 × 40 mm or 24 × 60 mm picket, with 3in or 4in gaps.

Tongue & Groove for Railings
Sleek, mixed-profile designs
A single profile width running the whole panel, with the tongue-and-groove joint closing each seam. The most restrained of the Tongue & Groove profiles: it reads as one continuous surface from any distance.
- One profile width throughout
- Reads as a continuous surface
- Horizontal or vertical
- Combines with Hi-Tech or Solid

Frequently asked questions
All FAQsProduct & Installation
Can my project be installed in one day?
Yes. Most standard installations are completed in a single day, thanks to our in-house fabrication, early-start teams, and coordinated logistics. Our crews often begin loading as early as 5:00 AM to ensure on-time, same-day completion.
Do you install on hilly or uneven terrain?
Yes — we're known for it. Our extensive experience in areas like the Mulholland hills makes us one of the most trusted names for hillside work. We use specialized engineering and our patented IST system to ensure stable, seamless installations on challenging terrain.
Are your products custom-measured and custom-built?
All Mulholland products are custom-measured and custom-built to ensure a perfect fit and smooth operation — no one-size-fits-all solutions.
Materials & Environmental
Why aluminum over iron or wood?
Aluminum is strong, rust-proof, recyclable, and maintenance-free. It offers long-term beauty and value. Iron rusts in 3–5 years in Southern California's coastal climate; wood warps, splits, and needs annual staining. Aluminum does none of that.
Is your powder coating environmentally safe?
Yes. Our powder coating system is non-toxic and engineered specifically for aluminum, ensuring a safe, long-lasting finish. Our electrostatic powder-coat fuses to the aluminum at a molecular level, creating a water-tight, corrosion-resistant finish.
Are your products made in the USA?
Yes. All products are fabricated in our 30,000 sq ft facility in Canoga Park, California.
Pricing & Payment
Do you offer financing?
Yes. With a 24-month no-interest option or up to 10-year terms with no prepayment penalty. Rates start around 8.99%, and payments average about $190 per $10K. It's a smart way to complete larger projects and add value to your home.
Is there a consultation or design fee?
Sometimes, yes. However, in most cases the fee is waived for serious inquiries. Each consultation offers high-value design insight and personalized support.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes. Your initial payment secures materials and kicks off fabrication. Once measurements are confirmed, your install date is scheduled within two business days.
Service, Warranty & Maintenance
Do you offer warranties?
Yes — and more importantly, we honor them. Every product comes with a clear, written warranty: a one-year warranty for any defect related to manufacture or assembly, and a three-year warranty against rust. What matters more is the company behind the warranty. We're going to be here years down the road, and we'll be the ones backing up your product.
Why should I trust Mulholland over other companies?
Mulholland Brand is a well-known and trusted name in the industry, with tens of thousands of installations across California. We are the only manufacturer in California with in-house employees — no dealers, no subcontractors. This means direct accountability, better quality control, and a seamless experience from design to installation.
What if I need repairs later?
We offer affordable service support even beyond your warranty. Most calls are resolved for $500 or less.
Fire Safety / Zone-Zero
Are your products fire-rated or fire-resistant?
Yes. Our aluminum systems are non-combustible and have been CAL FIRE tested — field-tested in California wildfires, often remaining intact where other structures were lost.
Do your products meet Zone-Zero requirements?
Yes. In California's wildfire zones, aluminum is non-combustible and meets Zone-Zero defensible-space requirements — the 0-to-5-foot perimeter around your home where only non-combustible materials are allowed. While wood and vinyl ignite or melt, aluminum creates a fire-resistant perimeter.
What is Zone-Zero and does it apply to my property?
Zone-Zero is the ember-resistant zone within 5 feet of your home, defined by the California Board of Forestry. It applies to properties in Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zones. If your gate, fence, or railing is wood or vinyl within that zone, it may need to be replaced with non-combustible material like aluminum.
Service Area & Add-ons
Do you service San Diego or other regions?
Yes. We serve Los Angeles, Ventura, Orange, and San Diego Counties, with limited services in Palm Desert and the Bay Area for larger projects.
Can I combine materials like glass and aluminum?
Yes. We offer beautiful hybrid solutions combining glass, wood-tone aluminum, lighting, and more.
Can I install lighting or automation?
While we don't handle the installation of electrical components, our products are designed for easy integration with automation and lighting systems.
