Ridgeline and open-lot properties take sustained wind. Panel spacing, infill choice and post engineering are all decided against the actual exposure rather than defaulted, and solid infill is not always the right answer.
Aluminum does not burn. It is non-combustible and CAL FIRE tested, which is the practical argument for it on any property backing onto brush.
Near the water, powder-coated aluminum resists the salt air that pits and streaks other metals. Inland, the same finish takes relentless sun without fading or needing to be refinished.
Longer perimeter runs and wider driveway openings are common here. Fence panels and gates are fabricated to the run rather than assembled from stock lengths.
