When the Bad Guys Come in the Night
Most robberies occur in the day time… but what about the real bad guys who come at night… are you prepared?
Most Burglaries take place in the day time, when a knock or ring at the door will confirm that you are away, and then your home is entered. But there are still a significant number of break ins at night, particularly when it is known that you are away (as on vacation or business) or gone for the evening for a night out. Not pleasant to dwell on, but it remains important to understand that not all break ins are related to burglary; there are break-ins that purposefully are done when the residents are at home, in order to bring harm to people.
Lighting is one of the deterrents to night time invasions.
One of the important attributes of Motion detector lights such as these is that they can startle the intruder and momentarily blind him; they can be set up to alert you inside or out of your home, and activate your security cameras.
The backyard light is the most important
In most homes, the emphasis for night time lighting is in the backyard. Criminals know that, in a front entrance entry, people walking by or in homes across the street are more likely to see the crime. He knows that he less likely to be discovered in entering your property from your backyard.
But it is still true that crime hits thousands of homes each year at night as we sleep.
With expertly installed security lighting, your property welcomes guests with well lit walkways in the evenings and it deters criminals in the dead of night when their motion is detected and the lights flood in on them, startling them and frightening them as your security cameras record their motion, and, quite likely, their terrified expressions as they scramble away!
Likely thieves viewing your property from the street, seeing you are prepared, will never attempt entering your property. For you the outdoor lighting system becomes a regularly used convenience. When you’re traveling about the property doing any night time errands or tasks, even with your hands full, you won’t have to search for light switches as the motion detectors illuminate the pathway in front of you. Also lights are not accidentally left on in seldom used areas as they are programmed to automatically switch off – and then on again when motion is detected.
Motion detector controlled lighting saves energy up to 60 %
Motion detector controlled lighting is an inexpensive and sure way to reduce the lighting energy costs up to 60 %. The right amount of light where and when needed is an excellent motto when planning lighting.
